   'The in-app purchases in KOCOWA are so pricey! But when I tried to splurge on an entire season of Running Man (because i love that variety show a lot), the streaming was so seamless and the quality was so good! '

There has been a phenomenal growth in Korean popular culture. Ranging from music like K-pop, movies, drama, to Korean cuisine, and even Korean skincare. This phenomenon is more known as the Korean Wave (commonly known as Hallyu in Chinese form). South Korea has been on the roll with exercising its “soft power”. Soft power is a term coined by a political scientist named Joseph Nye. Soft power refers to the ability of a certain country to penetrate other countries by perpetuating its image and culture. In 2013, a boost of 9.3% in the tourism sector has been documented ever since the Korean Wave has begun—and watching Korean drama has something to do with this!

In an article published on February 3, 2017, in The Korea Herald, it shows a significant increase in the popularity of Korean dramas in the United States. In the article, an online survey conducted by KOCCA shows that 59.8% of the respondents have been watching Korean dramas for more than three years. Interestingly, 95.1% of the respondents also said that they have been using online streaming services to watch Asian dramas. K-drama (Korean Drama) has surely transcended the borders of television and spread influence even in food and in fashion.

    'This app basically offers a collection of songs and OSTs of Korean drama. I dont think this should be included on this list of solutions and not even on top five because it does not offer you the chance to watch korean dramas rather to listen to OSTs. smh'

    '@Swati Chaudhary I am sorry to hear that this is not available in your country. But i think using a VPN will work and allow you to watch Korean dramas for free. Just Google the best VPN out there but for me IPVanish is the best. '
